Errol Morris believes that photographs are connected to the
physical world. He believes them to be both true and false in which they are
all posed. This is because the photographers decide what to include in the
frame, and what to leave out. Within a photo, you see a swatch of a 2D reality
and the only way to see what the viewer is looking at is to investigate it.
Viewers must explore the photograph and analyze it. I agree with Errol Morris.
Usually, a good amount of thought goes into photos and the photographer wants
the viewer to leave with something from it, and it’s the viewer’s job to find
out what that is.
