Photography as Documentation

For this project we were originally supposed to bring in four pictures of places that can express time and space. We presented these ideas to the class in order to get some feedback and then set off to make our mini collages (4-6 images) to further explore the locations. Based off of personal and class opinions, we narrowed our decision down to two of the ideas. To further explore these ideas, we made even larger collages (6-10 images) to illustrate how they express space and time. We then presented them to the class again to get suggestions. This is when we made the final decision on which idea we wanted to go with for our final products. We made one more test collage (15 images) to allow us to work out any final problems and to receive last suggestions. Then it was time to start working on our final collage. While many classes had a minimum of photos required, our class requirement was that it had to appear finished, no matter how many photos it takes. We then came out with different ways to present them and headed to our final critique!
