John Berger discusses that perspective is on the eye of the beholder,
which in turn makes the eye the center of the world. The introduction of
photography changed everything because appearances can travel all around the
world. Cameras are freed from the boundaries of time and space. The images that
they take can be corridors to what represents the moment in which we are
looking at. These images become silent and still so that the viewers can manipulate
the meaning of them. Photos can also be manipulated by what is around them
because when things are around the photo, they have to hold their own. What is
placed before and after a photo can really change how the viewers think. This
video was important because we are creating a collage for our project so the
placement of each photo needs to be thought about in the means that it can
change the entire piece.
